The Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts (AVSE) aims at providing a forum for scientists and experts to exchange ideas and discuss the future of their professions, as well as at contributing actively to the development of Vietnam.
Mission
The AVSE has five main missions:
- Development of an expert and specialist database to support cooperation when needed;
- Connection of individuals and organizations of Vietnamese scientists on a global basis, for the purpose of sharing experience and ideas;
- Organization of scientific research activities, workshops, careers advice and employment support;
- A hub for international cooperation with foreign experts and scientists;
- Coordination of professional activities with national and overseas organizations to support the advancement of science and technology applications in Vietnam.

Organization
The AVSE is established in France under the 1901 Association Law (registration number W751210386, creation announced in the “Journal Officiel” of the French Republic, N° 27, July 2, 2011, page 3030). It develops a network of Vietnamese professionals, experts and scientists on a global basis and elaborates both short and long-term working agendas.
The agreed strategies and action plans are carried out by an Executive Committee, with consultation to an Advisory Board which consists of leading experts in a number of scientific fields.
